That's correct. I would like to know if there is a way of finding out if there
exists a function which does a particular thing. It is quite time-consuming to
go through each menu in the toolbar. For the moment, the wikisearch hasn't
helped me a great deal.

Kind regards

Bishan

I think that Bishan is looking for a shortcut: knowing the needed
LaTeX function, how to find the equivalent LyX GUI functionality. I
think that there is no quick way to do this, but to check the
documentation in Help menu (there's a Section for existing LaTeX
users) and get familiar with the programme. Otherwise the usual ML and
wiki search.
