Hi,
I am installing the latest MikTeX version (2.9). What is to do to make
LyX use the new version? Is it enough to change the path in the
settings to "C:\Program Files\MiKTeX 2.9\miktex\bin" which would be
pretty easy?
It doesn't seem to be as easy as I expected it to be. Unfortunately the
reconfig was aborted and the math symbols were not displayed any more
... so
I switched back to MikTeX 2.8 again and I will wait for another
possibility to
uninstall LyX (2.0 beta1) and to install another LyX version. I suspect
the
installation routine automatically identifies the MikTeX distribution -
without causing any problems.
There remains a question: Let's suppose two MikTex versions are
installed, does the LyX installation
routine ask me which one I want to work with? ... just thinking.
Thx.
