Great! That was the solution!!! I didn't understand what it meant to be an executable path. I confused it with a LyX or a TeX path. After the hint from Stephan I found a link to a directory I never have been seen (/usr/local/texlive/2010/bin/X86_64-darwin), where I have found a lot of other executable programs like bibtex, bixtex8 etc. I assume biber is to install in this directory as well? I noticed that my final \printbibliography printed out all the references without marks for refsections but not the bibliography cited in the marked sections. Is there a way - besides of the sectioned bibliographies - to get a complete bibliography of *all* mentioned references at the end of the book? Peter
