Hi everyone,

I wonder if there's any way to get LyX to treat enter on the numeric keypad
like
the main return key? Particularly ctrl+enter to start a new row in multiline
equations?

I notice in preferences that ctrl+return is bound to "newline-insert newline",
and so I tried adding a key binding from ctrl+enter to that. But it doesn't
seem to work, and when I reopen the preferences dialog the mapping has
disappeared.

The reason for this is that on my stupid laptop (Dell Vostro 1720), pressing
the
main return key generates a numeric keypad enter keypress instead (even though
my laptop has a separate numeric keypad!) Apparently this is a bug in the
firmware, and an update is available, but I'm not going to risk fiddling with
my
laptop's firmware for such a minor issue, especially since all programs I use
except LyX treat these two keys identically. At least LyX recognises it for
new
paragraphs though!

Thanks,
Jim
