Up until recently making an edit to a document in Lyx and then clicking View PDF in the toolbar caused it to regenerate the PDF and display it; if the file was still open in the viewer, then it would throw an error and you'd have to close the file first...
As of this morning, though, it simply redisplays the last generated pdf from the temp dir. Closing Lyx and restarting it fixes it (because it deletes the temp files), but only for that first time generating the pdf. Deleting the pdf by hand from the temp dir, without touching any of the other files in the temp dir, also works. It doesn't matter whether the viewer is closed or not, just whether the pdf in the temp dir is gone. I've tried various things, including running reconfigure, and uninstalling and re-installing Lyx 1.6.2, running it as an Administrator (in case it was a permissions problem), but no luck. Looking at the archive, it seems that there were similar problems a long time ago, but nothing for recent versions of Lyx, Any thoughts? -- - Joshua
