First thing to check: reconfigure. Your installation may have missed
the spellchecker. The next thing to check is the "preferences" menu,
then look under "editing" for the spellchecker settings. Maybe it is
looking for the wrong spellchecker. This happened to me when I tried
out the continuous spellchecking.
