Release of LyX version 2.0.0 (release candidate 2)

Looking good. Could you confirm that the RCs won't be forward compatible with
documents created with the final 2.0 release please?
we guarantee not to change fileformat for stable releases, ie from 2.0.0.
we do not plan to change it for RC either but if some bug appears it can happen,
so no promise.

I'm confused about the question, though. ALL LyX releases are "forward compatible" with later releases, in the sense that any file created with ANY LyX release is intended to be openable in ANY later release, with no user intervention. Backward compatibility is a different issue, but here again EVERY LyX release is supposed to be capable of exporting a file readable by EVERY earlier LyX release, and the lyx2lyx script can in fact produce ANY file format, even the intermediate ones.
