Is this just the one file giving a problem? i.e. can you compile other files? Have you ever compiled this file on PC and not just on Mac? When you get an error Lyx usually highlights the error in the LyX file, or at least has a go and is usually at least in the same line. Is there a strange symbol near the highlight point? -- Stephen
