What's a "pld"? If the problem is with the caption as it appears in the float (as opposed to how it is listed in a list of figures or some other index thing), have you looked at the source (View > View Source) to see if something funky is going on in the caption? All else failing, try compiling a minimal example and posting it here. Paul
