Hi Liviu,
I am running Lyx 2.0 on Windows. I did as you suggested, saving the file in
C:\ Temp , when I try to view it in pdf, an error saying file doesnot exist
comes out.
I had print screen the error message for your kind attention.
The screenshot is not very informative. Could you do the following:
- File> New from template> letter.lyx (double check the spelling of 'letter')
- View (pdflatex)
- If it still gives errors, please post Document> LaTeX log.
Liviu
When I was using Lyx1.6, I did not face this problem. My hard drive had
crashed a few days back and I was only able to find Lyx 2.0 online.
You help is very appreciated.
Thank you

Hi,
I am new to Lyx 2.0. I was trying to view "Intro.lyx" which I access
through the help header in pdf format .
An error "the directory path to the document cannot contain spaces" pops
out.
What should I do ?
I assume you're on Windows. If so, then File> Save as and then put it
in a folder that contains no spaces, such as C:\tmp. Then it might
work.

Thank you

Hi guys,
When I load letter.lyx There was a pop up with the following message:
Lyx: Document class not available
The selected document class letter requires external files that are not
available. The document class can still be used, but the document cannot
be compiled until the following prerequisites are installed: letter.cls
Later when I try view(pdflatex)
File name error message pop up.
How do I install letter.cls?
Thank you very much for you help.
