I don't think Jeff or I have either looked at that document in a while. Of course if there is a specific fix that needs to occur, let us know. However, the instructions were tested on a number of machines (I think incl Win 7 for Jeff). For me, interest waned when last time I upgraded. The latest LyX 1.6.x upgrade broke the whole thing (not sure which). I never figured out why. So, I just waited a bit till LyX 2 for the module integration of Sweave. It just worked out of the box for me. I'd recommend it to all Win LyX-Sweave users. Big thanks to Yihui and the other devels working on this.
