Thanks Liviu. I apologize for the delayed answer but had other stuff to do. Inserting the lines above into the preamble had effect on the list's line spacing. However I still can not understand what can be the problem with the enumitem module. I probably will start a new thread for this issue. Thanks again, bcsikos
