Does the table need to be imported as an image (because, for instance, it is part of a downloaded PDF file), or do you have the original text available (or can type it in)? If you can type/paste in the table, in a rotated table float, my guess is that it will be easier to do it that way.

"Embedded Objects" manual for an alternate approach.
