Martin, May I ask why you are using \text ? To my knowledge, the \unit and \unitfrac commands automatically ensure that the text is typeset upright. I seem to get the correct output by using \unitfrac without using \text.
Then again, it isn't exactly clear to me what output you are looking for. Jacob
