Do you mean I should change wolfgang@wolfgang:/mnt/sda/home/wolfgang (/lyx-2.0.5.1$) into wolfgang@wolfgang:/mnt/sda/home/wolfgang-A or shall I create a new user and compile lyx there? Note that I compiled LyX in a directory on my /home/wolfgang called (and in fact created by the downloaded tar-file) lyx-2.0.5.1 and the lyx20 used before resides in its own dir on /home/wolfgang and was installed from there too, so no general installation on the root-dir Wolfgang
