What if I change my mind? Is there any way to edit the Matrix?

In particular, how do I change the horizontal alignment? For example, go

Certainly. On an individual matrix, click on the column you want to change, then go to the Edit menu > Rows & Columns and change from center to right for the column where your cursor was.

If you have to do this for several matrices, what I would do would be to do a search and replace for the appropriate string on the *.lyx file, using an editor. This is not the "advised" way, but it is quick when it works. Before doing something like this, though, do make a backup copy of the file...
