Hey,
So I am using Lyx, and if I type an en-dash, it does not always appear,
when I save the document as a pdf. Sometimes they appear, but there is no
rhyme or reason to when they do. Sometimes when I have two within a
sentence, one will disappear. Sometimes when I copy and paste an instance
where one does not appear into another document, it will reappear. It does
it regardless of whether I do "Alt--" or "--" or find it through special
characters. About the only pattern I have noticed is that they never all
appear or disappear on the same line of text.
Like I said, it does it when I view the document as a pdf, and I am using
the mac version.
Any input will be greatly appreciated, as one can only use so many commas
and parentheses in a paper.
