Or perhaps, José, you could play with LyX's keyboard remap feature:

tools > preferences > input > keyboard/mouse

There under "keyboard remap" you have the choice of several "kmap"
files. You can have a look at them to see how they work and create your
own. I've done that.

(However, there's one thing I was never able to get working, that's
"acute accent + c" give me a "ç" --like in any other apps-- instead of
an accented c)
