Let me know if they're at all comprehensible. Or wrong. You could try to
download the latest reLyX (from
http://voth.chem.utah.edu/~karger/unix.html) and run it without copying
over the existing files. There may be problems with that (as Rich Fields
found out), but once 1.0 comes out, we're going to need to release reLyX
distributions that can be installed without reinstalling all of LyX.
