Thanks for the hint. I noticed it yesterday and have just released a
(hopefully) corrected version:

The problem is that in some circunstances zcmp and zdiff return 1
(meaning different) instead of 2 (meaning trouble) when the '--format'
option is used with a file of incorrect format.
I have corrected the values expected by the testsuite.
