Well I guess I should have double-checked the 8300 manual before I said *that*!
The others don't have xmodem built in like that.8300 telcom manual says upload and download use xmodem if you supply a file name and answer a prompt yes, and the host is ready too.
I don't know if I've ever used rx/sx directly instead of from within minicom.
