My top 3 are: - TRS-80 model 4p - Tandy 102 - Tandy 1000 TL
My 4P was equipped with 512 KB (not standard), double-sided diskdrives 360 KB/5.25", one external drive 720 KB/3,5", 40 MB IDE external HD, (non-Tandy) Hi-res graphics. It was a step-up from my Model I, with 64 KB in the keyboard. (yes, I know, that's not standard either) I put it on number 1 because it was my first personal computer (the Model I belonged to my brother) and it stayed with me during years of personal computing, even landing my first 2 jobs and writing CVs and application letters. You never forget your first love... My 102 has MP, but should get a REX inside, the chip that I have for several years. It's on spot 2 because I still use it, and is the handiest hands-on computing device I know. "Pick up, turn on, write BASIC, write note, play game, turn off, stow away." And all that in less time than you need to write it down... My 1000 TL had a SCSI HD i/f with a 30 MB HD, 768 KB RAM and a VGA-card. It's on place 3 because I really enjoyed playing the games on it, and tuning the build-in MS-DOS 3.2 with BATch-files and ANSI-enhanced menu's. The RAM-disk, the SCSI-drive and the 286-CPU all made it a speedy machine. There aren't many computers from the early Tandy and TRS-80 range that I don't have. I'm a bit of a collector...
