The cost was quite reasonable also, and I knew I was getting fairly fresh NiCad cells. They helped me bring one of my PX-8s and my HX-20 back to life. It's true that the PX-8 won't work without a functional battery. One of the limitations of the beast. Once you get it working, you should build a cable to use vfloppy, a virtual disk drive for the PX-8 that runs under Linux. http://sourceforge.net/projects/vfloppy/files/ With that, you can really open up the software available to you.
