Hi, regarding your questions. I think Ken still has a few in stock but if not I can make some more.
I would suggest that the most reliable way to transfer files to a PC is as follows- 1) get a TS-DOS ROM. Install in M100 2) get very comfortable with LaddieAlpha, as it is the "other end" that I think works best on PCs I think REX is overkill, and frankly I think that in an ocean crossing you might be better off with a straight ROM. It is more rugged than REX, as REX relies on spring loaded contacts and might not handle the rattle and bang of an offshore event. Regarding QUAD; I think that putting the additional 8K into the laptop is sufficient; QUAD does give you more RAM but it isn't contiguous RAM. If you want I can send you a TS-DOS ROM and an 8K RAM chip for a nominal amount + shipping. These are all my opinions. You mileage may vary. BTW, what kind of boat are you doing the crossing on? I have done a lot of sailing myself.
