Hey Peter,

Sounds like you are trying to run VirtualT by simply double-clicking the
icon.  I don't think it will run this way ... I just tried it for the first
time.  I usually run it from the command line by doing a 'cd virtualt [or
wherever is it installed], then ./virtualt".

Apparently the version of Ubuntu I compiled the 64 bit version with must
have close to the very newest libraries.  It wants verion libjpeg.so.9
version, and on one of my machines, I only have version 8!

Another solution is to download the source package and build it
specifically for your system.
