Yes, it's definitely worth re-iterating that Model 100 connector polarity is the opposite of most all power supplies you could buy off the shelf these days. The outside is positive, the inside negative. Having applied a pack with a cable the wrong way round (guessing rather than reading the manual!) I felt lucky to not have done any permanent damage - but any reverse polarity protection should be thought of as a last resort rather than to be relied on!
