Hi Ray,

It sounds like maybe the card lock detect switch in the SD socket has developed an issue. All versions of NADSBox firmware have some hidden commands, and the most recent versions have a command to disable the write protect switch. I don't recall if firmware version 1.08 has the command or not. Regardless, you can always update your firmware to the latest version and issue the command to disable the write protect switch.

Email me off-list with the serial number of your NADSBox and I will provide instructions to disable WP switch.

Hi folks,

I'm having a weird problem with my NADS box, and would appreciate any help.

Setup:
1. T102 running REX and TS-DOS
2. NADS box with firmware version 1.08, BIOS Version 2, HW Version 1
3. Various SD cards, 2 GB, 4 GB, and 8 GB, FAT32 partition, formatted with mkfs.vfat on a Linux system.

Problem:

With the setup described above, I can read the files and directories on any of the SD cards just fine.

But when I try to either write to the card using TS-DOS, or doing a "copy con" or "copy conb" through the NADS command line, I get an error that the card is locked/write protected, even though it isn't. The little slider on the side of the SD cards is NOT in the "LOCK" position. I even tried moving it to the LOCK position, and that didn't help.

I can't figure out what's going on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

RL
