Hello – this is my first post, though I follow with interest. Greetings and
Happy New Year 2016 to my fellow Model 100 enthusiasts worldwide!

I recently purchased a Canon BJ-10e inkjet printer to use with my M100, but
after a great deal of experimentation, I haven’t been able to get the printer
to work. (Error light is pretty much perpetually on. Essentially does nothing
that the manual suggests the printer should do, including self-tests.) This is
confusing, since the BJ-10 seems like one of the older but still “relatively”
modern printers that folks on the list have called out as being well-suited to
the M100. I’m using an original Radio Shack printer cable for the M100, so I
think I can rule out a connecting cable error. I even bought a replacement
rechargeable battery for the printer, thinking that might be the issue, to no
avail. I’m hoping someone with experience configuring this printer can help me
out. Do the printer’s DIP switches need to be set in any particular manner?
Is there some other “trick” or even just a common failure mode? I’m beginning
to think that I was sold a piece of junk with a fried logic board. I want to
exhaust options before throwing the printer away in frustration.

Best wishes and thanks,
Anthony
