Yes, I described how to test the microprocessor within a Portable Disk Drive
(TPPD1 or TPPD2) without any mounted diskette or reliance upon the

I don't really remember but I don't think anything happens when you turn on
the drive. It just sits there.

 

Ron Wiesen may be able to help you... I have a vague recollection of some
short BASIC code to send a test command and get a response. I know I've seen
it and I thought it was Ron's.
