My reply:
Not surprised various PC's & cables don't work the same. As I recall,
everyone was trying to write their own "standard" for rs232 port wiring
up until about 1990 or shortly thereafter. Besides my 100/102/200 which
have the old Tandy wiring standard, there was another for Zenith, IBM,
and a few others. I believe IBM eventually won out in the end, as
everyone wanted to be "IBM Compatable". This means that you'll have to
know the wiring of the pc/device you're linking TO, as well as what
you're linking FROM. Might be really frustrating if you are also
burdened by a serial printer. My old dot-matrix units (dmp-130/130a &
Citizen 5200/5800) have serial AND parallel ports. I have no idea what
this means for nadsbox and rex users, but it's a consideration for ALL
model T's....
