We can all sit around and call each other inconsiderate dicks, but the the
fact is, the stuff is available to you.

That's really all I should say, but fuck it let's unpack...

Attempting to paint your declining to take something that is there, as
anyone else's problem or obligation, is plain amusing.

The difference is, for example, a rex is physically not available to me.
I'm not sitting here simply refusing to go to a site I don't like, even
just once to copy it. If Steve had some for sale, I would buy at least one.
If he had the plans up on oshpark, I would build one, or try to, from
there. If he had the plans available in some horrible obscure file format
that I personally hated and required software I hated on an OS I hated...
but they were available, I would take them and convert them to whatever I
liked better.

And you are right, you don't really need that stuff that happens to
currently only be on the form of some facebook posts. You don't need any
more info than that provided on the oshpark pages themselves. They have the
bare minimum parts list, and everything else you can derive from there. The
rest is just sort of reassurance for someone new who might not think they
could do it, bybway of filling in all the details so they see how limited
the whole project actually is. And plain convenience not having to hunt
down the odder parts when I already did and can point right to them, and
help like what's a known working eprom burner that isn't $500 etc. Just
stuff to head off all the unknowns and make the project seem attainable
even if you never did it before. Nothing *you* probably need.

There, how awesomely helpful was that? You can't be assed to look at
something where it is (although you can find the time in your schedule to
write emails about it), so I looked at it for you, and digested it, and
gave you a custom bespoke summarization. Now you don't even have to worry
about missing anything. You safely know there was nothing especially
valuable there, at least for you.
