Rechargeable batteries will not charge in the 102 unless you make a
modification.
Put in 4 fresh batteries, AND use a wall plug.
Leave the 102 plugged in for 24 hours.
Then test.
We had over 100, 102s and still have about 30.
Often, if they have NOT been used for a long time, the internal battery
will get wonky.
A good 24 hour charge from the wall plug will refresh this battery.
And ... ta-da ... the unit will power on.
If it does, pull the power plug and the batteries should kick in and
hold the unit on.
See if that works, it's worked for us A LOT.
