At what ages does one go about replacing the nicad as part of preventive maintenance? x number of years? on display of early symptoms?
I've been sobered to the need for PM on vintage computers after seeing damage from 68k mac capacitors, so I'm a bit paranoid about PM on my old hardware these days.
