Indeed. As a matter of fact there's a lot more to it in an M100: not only is 
the pinout substantially different and the required signals are not even all 
directly available, but even the pin spacing is not standard.
 
For an M100 you definitely need an adapter with some extra logic in addition to 
the RAM chip.
