I know we've talked about alternative OSes back... oh maybe years ago now...
But I can't remember and can't find them... did anyone mention Contiki as a possible alternative OS for the Model-T? Through various convolutionsĀ (I started out looking for info on DesqView) I came across the wikipedia entry for the Contiki OS... which I remember running on the C64... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contiki It supposedly runs in as little as 30K rom (10K ram), and there would of course be the problem of working around the no-relative-jump instructions for the 8085. One of the nice things is that Contiki includes a TCP/IP stack. Obviously SSL and SSH would be impossible, but it would still allow for network communications of some kind. Now I'm wondering if the TCP/IP stacks from Contiki couldn't just be lifted and duplicated to be placed in a ROM on the Model T?
