Greg,

I received my REX from you over a week ago, and was able to install the REX on
the M102 just fine, working great, but the M100 wouldn't finish the "call"
command, and I would try reseating, checking the pins, being very careful to be
grounded, so on. Treated the M102 just as carefully, and voila, REX took
perfectly. Set time, date, etc. , after making some command mistakes. John
Hogerhuis and Kevin Laskowski maintained those commands in Basic were the same
in REX, I proved them right!!

I'm very encouraged about the REX module, on adding more programs, even Tiny OS
files I've found online that some have put on the M100, M102, & other units.

I was surprised to learn that Microsoft decided against putting the original MS
Works on the M100, instead putting the low profile ROM files for productivity.
WOW! When I had a retrofitted TRS80 Model 1 in the 1990's, I had a 8088 to Z80
converter to run MS DOS files, and CoCo's that emulated Windows, & Apple Mac's
plus OS9.

FreeDOS can be minimized somehow, but REX has a TS-DOS that I need to
re-acquaint with commands, and revisit MS Basic from Radio Shack, which I had
forgotten.

Thanks, Mr. McGill for providing the REX to breathe new life in my shop-worn
M102. My M100 looks almost new out of the box, but have no idea what happened
with the REX not running the "call" command all the way through. I'm usually
determined to see an install to the very end, but at least had the M102 to
succeed.

Subject: [M100] REX and rom bank

Had a customer let me know he couldn't get his new REX to work in his 100 with
'rom bank' I assume any modifications to the option ROM socket would not work
with the REX. Is there exception to this or am I correct?

Greg
