Ok, have a day off from work so checking in.
I did the CLEAR0,55000 and steps that are in the Wiki. I am sure, as others, that it is because I have TS-DOS (RAM) loaded. I did try clearing TS-DOS out before running RF149.CO, but the the best I could find, are instructions to clear TS-DOS Disk; http://www.club100.org/library/doc/tsdos.html. The instructions there seem to be aimed at TS-DOS may not work with the RAM version. I did turn the resident portion off using [F5] as it says to before following the instructions to clear. Then CLEAR0,55000 before running RF149.CO and still get a single BEEP. Maybe I should try dropping TEENY.DO through PuTTY. It might be small enough to allow RF149.CO to run.
