This week-end, I re-capped my M100 almost completely (C86 was out of
stock, but I should get one this week).

The good news is that my voltages are now looking a lot better
(especially VEE that went from -4.5V to -5.05V).

The bad news is that despite re-heating the RTC's pins, I'm still
having the intermittent keyboard/clock/cursor issue (a lot less since
in the last few days I wasn't able to use it at all, but I still got
it) and the contrast dial is still unresponsive.

When re-capping I found out that at least one cap has leaked badly,
but I was able to clean the motherboard area completely using white
vinegar first, and isopropyl alcohol next.

However there was a large corroded area next to the power supply area
which I was not able to clean (picture:

Since I'll have to re-open the M100 to change C86, I'd like to try
cleaning this better (the picture is after the white vinegar/isopropyl
alcohol cleaning) but I'm not sure how to proceed.

Should I go strongly at it (the first time I used q-tips, but I've
seen peoples on youtube using toothbrushes very aggressively for
cleaning PCB) or should I use another kind of cleaning product?

Cheers,
Eric
