the notch on the TC5565 goes to the notch on the socket side. However those modules have a quite poor design imho (I've made more than one hundred 8K modules for the M100 by now). HCT logic should not be used for M100 hardware (it works correctly, but power needed is unnecessarily higher) and the discrete MOS plus resistors are probably drawing a few tens of microamperes from the standby battery if not more. However, this might not be a concern for most of the modern users of these old machines. Frank IZ8DWF
