Hello everyone,

In this episode we look at a TRS-80 Model 200 laptop. The Model 200 was a
descendant of the famous Model 100 but featured a flip up screen for the
first time. This computer was sent to me by the owner as it was not booting
up properly. It was in excellent physical shape and even included the
original box!

Upon inspection a small amount of corrosion from liquid intrusion was
cleaned up, the faulty memory battery was replaced, and all the electrolytic
capacitors were replaced.

I picked up a few extra NiMh memory batteries direct from the manufacturer
and have them up on my website if you are in need of a battery for your
Model 100 or 200. These are a direct replacement for the original NiCad
batteries.
