hit send too fast Maybe rexmgr just needs to be added to the list of things you have to temporarily pack away like floppy or ts-dos, while dvidos is installed. Maybe one of those old utils could be hacked a little to do that.
Another idea, I have not tried, but it seems that the ts-dos ram loader in UR2 might work even while dvidos is installed. That is almost as convenient as having ts-dos actually installed. It only works while your opt rom is ur2, and you can't access the tpdd from basic or use any other tpdd utility programs, but it may allow you to move files between both kinds of disks without uninstalling dvidos or even packing it away with one of those dos-switcher utils. So maybe you can start clean, install dvidos, pack it away with a dos-switcher. Install ts-dos, or ts-dos and rexmgr, pack one or both away with a dos-switcher or a hacked dos switcher. Then use the dos-switcher to reinstate a saved rexmgr (instead of reinstalling rexmgr the normal way) any time you need to switch opt roms. A full system ram image backup made with rex should be able to include a packed-away dvidos the same as any other data, so in that round-about way, you might even be able to use rex and rexmgr to back up a dvidos install even though you can't run them both at the same time. A lot hinges on the idea of temporarily packing away and restoring rexmgr the way thos old utils did for dvidos and tpdd dos (I think chipmunk too) which I have no idea how feasible that actually is. All I mean is, that seams like at least a possibly attainable goal, and if we had that, I think that gets you at least a crude answer for everything else.
