Welcome Tim! I recommend using mcomm on an android device such as the android tv boxes I sell pre-configured with all the cables needed. Also there is mcomm for windows, laddiealpha for dos/linux/mac and others..if you need something portable a cell phone with android will work as well with an OTG cable and the same cable setups for the rs232 and null modem.
