I have silicone o-rings on one of my mechanical keyboards. It
makes it a little quieter, but I like them for the change in
typing feel -- it reduces the stroke and they bottom out more
softly.
I didn’t know that the 100/102 used Alps/clone switches. I wonder
if they can be replaced with Matias clicky switches, which are my
favorite. You wouldn’t be able to do the caps lock switch, since
it’s a push-push (mechanical toggling) switch and those have gone
out of fashion.
