But wouldn't the 52 byte buffer mentioned below be wiped out if you
typed"Edit" while in BASIC, to invoke TEXT to edit your basic program?

The T102 ROM used the directory space of the three invisible files
( Suzuki, Hayashi, Ricky)  for bug fixes, so I am not sure how the ROM
accesses these files/buffers.
