I am unconcerned about using Discord.

I interpret the comment about 'shutting down [insert phrase here] servers'
in the context of modern media, where they are required to shut down hate
speech.   Wow - If you look across the newsgroups, we lost Comp.Lang.Forth
recently for a couple of weeks, as the content provider (Google) was hit
with a takedown for inappropriate speech.   Comp.Lang.Forth was always a
place to get out the deck chairs, grab a 6 pack and the popcorn, and watch
the sparks fly between particular individuals.

I would be happy to use IRC if we could get a 3k wide audio stream out of
it - That would be an interesting client to write......
