Hi everyone,

I just posted a new M100 repair video on YouTube. In this video we take a
look at the first of a pair of TRS-80 Model 100s that a friend sent me to
repair. We fix up a few issues from his first attempt at a recap job, but
hey we all start at the same place and you never learn anything new without
trying and practicing.

I got led a bit astray at first because I had the current limit on my bench
power supply set so low. I have just repaired 4 other M100s with the same
test set up though so I did not realize the issue at first. There was a trio
of problems that seemed unrelated, but all turned out to have the same root
cause.

1. Cassette remote relay caused low power shutdown
2. Corruption on LCD
3. Failing serial loopback test

In part #2 we will take a look at the second TRS-80 Model 100 which has a
mangled Option ROM socket and then we'll try out a 'SuperROM' and 'REX CPM'.
