Pin 5 is an odd extra ground on the M100. Pin 7 is the ground for the
spec, all wands, and all machines with the port, including the 100.
I looked at a lot of things for github.com/bkw777/BCR_Breakout
including schematics or manuals for different wands and guns and card
swipe reader which are used on more things than just the Model T clones,
and also all the T clones that have any BCR port. (KC-85 doesn't)

So, you did the BCR hack as well? nice.
I have the "hack" installed on one of my T102s. Works the same but (1)
the schematic is a bit different and (2) there is a missing ground on
pin 5 of the BCR port of the T102. So you need 2 straps instead of one.
I must admit - I really like having a 15 inch LCD hooked up to the
T102. adds a lot. Too bad most option roms can't use it.
However, one might. I think that ROM2/Cleuseau could be made to work,
with a bit of effort.
Anyhow, that might be the 2021 activity - sorting out how to get ROMs to
work compatibly with VT100.

Hooray! Some brief testing with a few .DO files shows that TEXT
works great backscrolling even with the label line turned on!

Loading the upgrade worked very well. The one note I might add is
to remind people that loading the new firmware reverts the saved
config settings back to default. This might be obvious to some but
I took a bit to clue in - I was baffled (and a little scared) when I
brought it back to my M100 and it wouldn't output anything after the
bootup message! I'm using the BCR hack so it was just a matter of
setting the baud rate back to 57600; most people will need to set it
to 19200 and re-enable the RS232 signal invert. (Oh, and if you use
the composite output, or even if you plan to try it in the future,
change it from PAL to NTSC so you won't be stuck wondering why it
doesn't work...)
