Okay, whew :) I first learned to do SMD work when I built my first REX based on your original gerbers and firmware. It was suuuuuper stressful at first, and I got 67% yield (2 out of 3) but I refined my technique, got better tools and better flux, and I got 19 of 20 on the first try last time I made any. Now I'm considering doing some console mods to install optical-drive emulators. > Never too old to learn! Indeed - that's one of the things I love about this hobby. -Josh
