That's right, the ZSCC handles H/SDLC natively. I'd used it on a prior work project that required that, so was intimate at the time with how to set up the SCC to work, and had some spare AM7910 modem chips as well. In essence, it would be the TNC. It is one of those projects I'd love to revisit if I ever get enough Round Tuits (although my understanding is that packet radio these days, in that format, is dead in these parts). PS, I'm still licensed, I just haven't keyed a transmitter in a loooong time. Cheers, --dt
