Thank you all for your suggestions: Douglas, thank you for pointing to the Club100 files; I copied them. Joshua, TPDD and emulation are two topics I have yet to explore successfully. I do have a working DVI, however. Jeffrey and Peter, I did successfully create a copy of the Data / Sort software from the OEM tape using the JVC tape deck and my Win10 machine. I set the Audacity record level to just below clipping and to record in mono at 44k samples per second. That may have been overkill; I will experiment with lower rates later. The target tape was a Maxell 90 tape, brand new, and although I got a load error on the first version recorded, the tapes duplicate as you know so the second loaded without an error. I agree that I don't want to wear out the tapes but I don't want to wear out my CCR-81 either. After reading the suggested manner for copying the tape I decided to look for another path.
